Created using hand painted polycarbonate scales* and acrylic yarn, this piece is lightweight, easy to care for and durable. I hand knit each scale into a dramatically shaped full collar with wing-like shoulder pieces or Pauldron/Mantle.
The collar ties at the neck with soft leather cording, and includes a safety pin on the underside of each shoulder piece to secure it.
This piece features black scales painted with an iridescent glaze that shifts gold and pink to purple. The yarn is bright pink as can be seen in the photos.
The measurements of this piece put it generally in an adult XL. However, the flexibility of knitting, and drawstring closure make it possible for a nice effect a range of sizes .
